Disaster relief efforts continue as the death toll from Monday's earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria passes 28,000. The magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit Türkiye's southern province of Kahramanmaras before sunrise on Monday. It was followed by another strong quake in the afternoon and a series of aftershocks.
