Syrian President Bashar al-Assad says the West's humanitarian position remains hypocritical and unchanged, despite the earthquakes or any other natural disasters. He made the accusation while visiting quake survivors in the city of Latakia. The Syrian Foreign Ministry called the U.S.' temporary exemption of unilateral sanctions on the country a sham and hypocritical.
