The death toll from the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria topped 33,000 as rescuers pulled more survivors from the debris a week after the disaster. In Syria, the number of dead has surpassed 3,500. The first batch of emergency aid from the Chinese government arrived in Türkiye on Saturday, and China's Red Cross sent a second batch of relief goods for 10,000 persons in Syria.
