Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the Yin Ruins site in Anyang City, central China's Henan Province in October last year as his first domestic inspection trip following the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Underscoring the importance of archaeological work, Xi said the national research on tracing the origins of the Chinese civilization should continue to be deepened.
Archaeology not only answers philosophical questions like "where did I come from?" and "where am I going?" but also gives insights into "where China began."
