Turkish security teams have arrested at least 97 suspects for allegedly looting quake-hit properties, Anadolu Agency reported Tuesday.
The suspects have been arrested in over 232 separate incidents across 11 provinces and 22 others were sentenced to judicial control injunctions, the report added citing sources.
Amid reports of looting and other crimes, President Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday has vowed to take firm action against those involved.
At least 31,643 people were killed and over 80,000 others injured in Türkiye after last week's strong earthquakes which also left up to $84.1 billion economic losses for the country.
