The China-backed Hunutlu thermal power plant in Türkiye has kept normal operation despite the earthquakes in the country. Operated by China's State Power Investment Corporation, the power plant is Türkiye's first thermal power plant without a flue-gas stack. There was slight damage to some of the equipment of the power plant, while the two units of the Hunutlu thermal power plant have been generating electricity at full power.
