The Tianfu Cosmic Ray Research Center, established by the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has opened in Chengdu Science City. The center will carry out scientific research based on LHAASO (Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory), a high-altitude cosmic ray observatory that will provide important scientific support for studying the origins of cosmic rays. Laboratories for cosmic rays, detection technology, and high-altitude observation and verification shall also be set up.
