The World Health Organization on January 30th said that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to constitute a public health emergency of international concern, its highest form of alert. Acknowledging the COVID-19 pandemic may be approaching an inflection point, WHO spokesperson Margaret Harris said that their designation reflected the COVID situation of the world at large.
