Cleanup and recovery efforts began in New Zealand on February 16 after Cyclone Gabrielle left a devastating wake of extensive flooding, landslides and damage to homes and orchards.
The storm killed at least five people, and the authorities are concerned about other residents who remain unaccounted for, local media reported.
The cyclone struck the country's north on February 13 and has brought more destruction to the nation of five million than any weather event in decades.
Prime Minister Chris Hipkins said the damage was extensive and has praised New Zealanders for supporting each other.
