Participants from over 60 countries, regions and institutions gathered for the first coordinators' meeting for the Belt and Road cooperative framework on emergency management. Working groups are being established under the framework to cover disaster reduction, and responses to forest and grassland fires, floods and droughts. A ministerial level meeting is scheduled in November this year.
