China's rescue team departed Türkiye as its mission to save earthquake survivors came to a close on February 16. Before departure, a handover ceremony was held in the camp of the team in Antakya of Hatay province, the worst affected region of last week's devastating earthquakes.
The team donated relief supplies to survivors of the earthquakes, including foodstuffs, water, tents and medical supplies. During the mission, the team dispatched 21 batches of rescuers, extracted six survivors from under the rubble, and found 11 bodies. In total, they combed over 700,000 square meters in their rescue operation.
