The Surinamese government condemned protesters for storming the parliament on Friday.
The government has set up a task force to track down those responsible for attacking the parliament, President Chan Santokhi said in a statement.
Dozens of protesters forced their way into Suriname's parliament as hundreds more rampaged through the nation's capital Paramaribo. They clashed with police as demonstrations over rising inflation descended into chaos.
