In 2022, China's pickup truck exports surged 65 percent from the previous year, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

A total of 128,000 pickup trucks were exported last year, accounting for 25 percent of China's total pickup sales (512,000 units), said the association in a report released Friday.

In the first month of 2023, 10,000 pickup trucks were exported, registering a 70 percent year-on-year jump, CPCA's data showed.

The strong performance reflects the steady growth in China's auto industry exports, said CPCA.
