The Beijing Stock Exchange (BSE) officially opened market-making trading on its stock market on Monday.
A total of 13 market makers will participate in the trading business on the bourse, which involves 36 stocks, the BSE said.
The introduction of market-making trading is intended to reduce investors' transaction costs and boost market liquidity and stability, according to the bourse.
The move also further promotes market reform and innovation and improves the market trading system, the BSE said earlier.
