The 42nd Chinese naval escort fleet, consisting of the guided-missile destroyer Huainan, the missile frigate Rizhao and integrated supply ship Kekexilihu, arrived at the Port of Richards Bay, South Africa, Sunday to participate in a joint maritime exercise held by China, Russia and South Africa. The officers and sailors of the missile frigate Rizhao lined the deck to wave to the welcoming crowd as it smoothly berthed at the pier. This is the second joint maritime exercise held since 2019 by the navies of China, Russia and South Africa between Richards Bay and Durban.
