Russian President Vladimir Putin has given his annual address to the nation. The speech focused on domestic economic and social issues, as well as the Ukraine conflict. Putin directed his harshest criticisms yet at Western countries. He said Ukrainian people were "hostages of their western masters" and added that the West was intent on fighting Russia.
