Chinese President Xi Jinping once said, "If you want to know what China was like 1,000 years ago, visit Xi'an."
The city is home to thousands of years of Chinese heritage and history. In ancient times, Xi'an was called Chang'an, which means "long-term peace and stability." During the Kaiyuan Reign period (713-741), the governors of the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907) made great efforts to raise national strength to its heyday.
When the palace met the ancient city wall of today's Xi'an, the brilliance of the great times and the glory of the 13 ancient capitals were written on the wall, which has become a part of China's living history.
