Swedish researcher Jan Oberg, the co-founder of the Transnational Foundation for Peace and Future Research, on Monday alleged that the U.S. had both the motive and the capability to blow up the Nord Stream pipeline in order to wage an "economic war" against its European allies for selfish gain. Oberg said U.S. sales of higher-priced gas to European countries since the explosions belie its motive.
