Ferry services between Huangqi Town, Fuzhou City of Fujian Province on the Chinese mainland, and Matsu, a small island attached to the Taiwan region, resumed after a three-year suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to China's Ministry of Transport, all four ferry routes of the "mini three links" have resumed service so far. Launched in 2001, the "mini three links" refer to direct trade, mail and transport services between the islands of Kinmen and Matsu and Fujian Province.
