China sent a new remote sensing satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Friday.
The satellite, atop a Long March-2C carrier rocket, was launched at 12:01 p.m. Beijing time. It has entered the preset orbit.
Friday's launch marks the 464th flight mission of China's Long March rocket series.
