Poland has delivered its first Leopard tanks to Ukraine, the country's president and its defense minister told a meeting of the National Security Council on Friday.
Polish President Andrzej Duda said in his opening remarks at the meeting in Warsaw that Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki had gone to Kyiv to give Leopard tanks to Ukraine, while Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak later said the tanks had already reached Ukraine.
Morawiecki confirmed during a joint news conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv that the number of tanks delivered to Ukraine is four and Poland is prepared to deliver more quickly.
