On February 23, Alexey Mukhin, director general of the Centre for Political Information, gave an interview to a CGTN reporter about the report on the Nord Stream pipeline by the U.S. investigative journalist Hersh. Mukhin said that the U.S. hopes for Germany to be like "the Silence of the Lambs". They won't do anything even if their economy is damaged. A highly organized and collaborative group of politicians exists in various European countries. They are known as Atlanticists. They are defending the U.S.'s interests rather than European interests.
