Mongolia and China will strengthen cooperation in such areas as combating desertification, protecting the ecological environment, and addressing climate change, said Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh in an interview with the China Central Television that was broadcast on February 24. In order to protect nature, Khurelsukh has proposed a nationwide campaign to plant trees. The "One Billion Tree" campaign has won widespread support from Mongolians.
