The prototypes of China's AG600M firefighting amphibious aircraft have entered the licensing stage, now that the last of the four has finished its maiden test flight. The prototype, a full-configuration firefighting model belonging to the AG600 large amphibious aircraft family, carried out a series of planned tests during the 17-minute flight. Officials said it demonstrated excellent performance, with its control system and all other systems operating stably. The success of the maiden flight indicates that all four AG600M prototypes have commenced their flight test mission to acquire airworthiness certificates.
