The application of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) in agriculture has facilitated high-precision farming. The system can help farmers maintain uniform seeding width and depth, keeping the margin of error during sowing below 2 centimeters. Smart tractors fitted with the BDS have the functions of self-driving, plowing depth control and self-leveling adjustment, increasing the efficiency of land use by 4.5 percent.
