One killed after M5.6 quake hits Türkiye's Malatya

One person was killed after a magnitude-5.6 earthquake hit Türkiye's Malatya province on Monday at a depth of 6.96 kilometers, according to Yunus Sezer, the head of the country's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
Sezer later announced that 29 buildings were destroyed and 110 people were injured in the earthquake.
Search and rescue operations are still underway.
