Nikos Christodoulides was sworn in as president of Cyprus for a five-year term on Tuesday.
Christodoulides, the former Cypriot foreign minister, won the runoff election on February 12 with 51.97 percent of the votes, compared to 48.03 percent received by his opponent Andreas Mavroyiannis.
