China plans to expand the current T-shape basic structure of its space station to feature over 50 different configurations in the future, allowing it to accommodate more spaceships. The space station completed the formation of its T-shape structure on November 3 last year, with the lab modules Wentian and Mengtian being positioned on each side of the Tianhe core module. The space station has a designed lifespan of ten years, but designers believe it could last more than 15 years with appropriate maintenance and repair work.
