One person was killed and another was injured by Ukraine's "saboteurs" in Russia's Bryansk region bordering Ukraine and Belarus, the local governor, Alexander Bogomaz, said on Thursday via Telegram.

Ukraine's saboteurs penetrated into the territory of the Klimovsky district and they fired at a moving car, the governor said.

Russian forces clashed with a Ukrainian saboteur group in the region, TASS reported on Thursday, citing emergency services. Up to six people were taken hostage by Ukrainian saboteurs in the village of Lyubechan in the Bryansk region, TASS said.

Ukraine has not yet responded to the claims.
