At a digital agriculture industrial park in Laixi City of east China's Shandong Province, a technician is flying a remote sensing drone to comprehensively monitor the emergence and growth of nearly 10,000 mu (667 hectares) of wheat.
In recent years, the city has established a smart agriculture platform and adopted a new model that combines online and offline capabilities. In addition, the local government is promoting the deep integration of technology into agriculture by popularizing the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence, aiming to create numerous digital agriculture application scenarios and build a fully automated unmanned farm that features whole-process farming, planting, management and harvesting.
