China's Cai Xuetong won the women's snowboard halfpipe title at the 2023 Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships in Bakuriani, Georgia on Friday.
Cai's 90.50 points in her first run put her in pole position, and she went on to win the title. Canada's Elizabeth Hosking finished second with 85.50, followed by Ono Mitsuki of Japan with 83.00.
In the men's event, teenagers Lee Chae-un from South Korea and Valentino Guseli from Australia took the top spots, with Lee winning by a tiny margin from his first run. Lee, 16, won the final with 93.50 points, and Guseli, 17, took silver with 93 from his final attempt. Beijing Olympic bronze medalist Jan Scherrer of Switzerland rounded off the podium in third with 89.25.
