As China's national lawmakers and political advisors gather in Beijing to deliberate key development issues at the country's major "Two Sessions" meetings, global officials and experts from various sectors expect the annual event to send positive signals concerning China's continued opening up and cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The "Two Sessions," regarded as a key event on the Chinese political calendar, refer to the annual meetings of China's top legislature, the National People's Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which begin in Beijing on March 4.
