China needs to strengthen the construction of the community-level medical and health system, a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) said at the Members' Corridor before the opening of the first session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC on Saturday.
As long as the construction of the community-level medical system can be implemented and enhanced more efficiently, critically ill patients can get a timelier treatment, said Zhang Wenhong, head of the Center for Infectious Diseases at the Shanghai-based Huashan Hospital of Fudan University.
