A magnitude-6.9 earthquake hit Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at a depth of 150 kilometers on Saturday, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
No tsunami warning was issued after the quake, the U.S. Tsunami Warning System said.
