The newly-amended Law on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Women went into effect in 2023. In line with this, the grassroots legislative outreach office in Shanghai's Hongqiao neighborhood hosted a debate on women's rights. The community organized this discussion for the first time in the hopes that it would help the public learn more about China's laws.
