"The domestic aircraft family is growing," said Tang Changhong, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and chief model designer for the Aviation Industry Corporation of China. Last year, the C919, China's home-grown, narrow-body passenger jet designed to carry up to 192 passengers, completed all its test flights. The Y-20, a large military transport aircraft developed and produced by China, and C919 fly alongside the AG600, a large amphibious aircraft.
