53 German police officers hurt in protest against AfD party congress

At least 53 German police officers and two demonstrators were injured in a demonstration against the Alternative for Germany (AfD) state party conference in Offenburg on Saturday, local media outlet Welt reported.
So far, 20 investigations have been initiated against several participants in the demonstration, police said in a statement.
