The Asian Development Bank will work closely with China to promote green and high-quality development and lend support to China's ongoing rural development efforts, according to Safdar Parvez, the new ADB Country Director in China. Speaking to CGTN reporter Hou Jing, Parvez said the lender will also team up with China on issues such as elderly care, urban and rural mobility and employment. The ADB official added that China's economic recovery was largely dependent on the recovery in domestic and foreign consumption.
