The government work report, delivered by Premier Li Keqiang to the opening meeting of the first session of the 14th National People's Congress, has drawn attention both domestically and internationally. It sets China's GDP growth target at around five percent for 2023. The other main targets include creating about 12 million new urban jobs, a surveyed urban unemployment rate of around 5.5 percent, and keeping the CPI increase at around three percent.
