China beat defending champions Saudi Arabia 2-0 in the group stage of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U20 Asian Cup in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Monday.
Mutellip Iminqari put China ahead in the 65th minute when he converted Afrden Asqer's cross from the left. Then Xu Bin doubled the lead in the 72nd minute to secure the win for China at Bunyodkor Stadium.
After the win, China are now second in Group D behind Japan and will face Kyrgyzstan on Thursday.
A total of 16 teams are competing in the AFC U20 Asian Cup that is being held in Uzbekistan from March 1 to 18.
Group A: Uzbekistan, Iraq, Indonesia, Syria
Group B: Vietnam, Australia, Iran, Qatar
Group C: South Korea, Jordan, Tajikistan, Oman
Group D: Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan
