The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, has reviewed the legislative work done over the past five years.
Li Zhanshu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the 13th NPC, said,“Over the past five years, we have improved the socialist legal system and provided a more perfect legal guarantee for the socialist modernization." He made the comment while delivering a report on the work of the NPC Standing Committee at the second plenary meeting of the first session of the 14th NPC in Beijing on Tuesday.
