With the last two modules out of 35 delivered in Qingdao City, in east China's Shandong Province on Tuesday, a Canadian liquefied natural gas (LNG) project was completed.
Built by the Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. under the China National Offshore Oil Corporation, the project became the world's first integrated construction LNG modular plant to be delivered, according to a report by the China News Service (CNS).
The project is jointly invested in by British oil and gas company Shell and four other international oil firms.
With an annual output of 14 million tonnes of LNG, the project is expected to supply high-quality clean energy to countries including China when operational.
The maximum module weight is more than 8,200 tonnes, which exceeds the 7,300 tonnes of the Eiffel Tower's metal frame, according to the CNS.
