Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, on Wednesday afternoon attended a plenary meeting of the delegation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) and armed police at the first session of the 14th National People's Congress, China's national legislature. President Xi Jinping emphasized that consolidating and improving the integrated national strategic system and capability is essential to building a strong country and a strong military.
