An empty coal train hit a rockslide along tracks in Summers County, West Virginia on the morning of March 8, causing a fiery derailment that injured three crew members. The lead locomotive caught fire and 22 empty cars derailed near the New River and all injured members were being treated for non-life threatening injuries, CSX Transportation said. There were no hazardous materials being transported by this train, said the company.
