NPC deputy from Xinjiang dedicated to promoting development of grape industry

Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is known for its delectable fruits – grapes, watermelons, cantaloupes, pomegranates… you name it. These fruits are among local farmers' major sources of income.

Take Turpan for example, over 70 percent of local farmers' income comes from grapes, as it is one of the country's largest grape-growing and raisin-producing areas.
