China and Spain dispatched commemorative freight trains to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their establishment of diplomatic relations on March 9. One train carrying 110 standard containers of small commodities, ceramic products, electric scooters and daily necessities departed for Madrid from China's Yiwu City. At the same time, a train loaded with 70 containers of wine, olive oil, sparkling water, everyday chemical products, and other Spanish specialties traveled in the other direction. The train journeys connecting Yiwu, dubbed the "world's supermarket," and Madrid are a highlight of the activities celebrating the golden diplomatic anniversary, showcasing enhanced cooperation between China and countries along the Belt and Road route.
