China's first self-developed F-class heavy-duty gas turbine was formally put into commercial operation on Wednesday in south China's Guangdong Province. Heavy-duty gas turbines are the core equipment for power plants. China's Dongfang Electric Corporation spent 13 years designing and building the 50-megawatt gas turbine. Its successful deployment is a breakthrough for China.
