Over the past decade, the output value of Ningxia's wolfberries has exceeded 25 billion yuan ($3.59 billion). "Wolfberries are resistant to drought, salt and alkali, as well as severe cold and heat. So, they can grow in northwest China, which is arid and barren. Apart from being good for human health, they also protect the environment," said Hao Xiangfeng, a wolfberry grower.
