From the People: Xi Jinping's tenure as college principal inspires generations

In the summer of 1990, Xi Jinping was Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Fuzhou Municipal Committee and the principal of the Minjiang Polytechnic College. To get the college out of its predicament and running properly, Xi personally learned about situation specifics, made arrangements and promoted their implementation. Thanks to the joint efforts of all teachers and students, after more than a year of hard work, the college passed its State Education Commission review. Today's Minjiang University has undergone a thorough transformation, and Xi's work at the college has inspired teachers and students alike.
