The situation around Bakhmut remains difficult, but Ukrainian forces have repelled all Russian attempts to capture the town, Ukrainian ground forces commander Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi said on Monday.
According to Ukraine's Media Military Center, Syrskyi said that Russia's Wagner Group "is attacking from several directions, trying to break through our defenses and advance to the center of the town."
Wagner's chief said in a clip posted on Saturday that his forces are close to the center of Bakhmut.
